I’ve always been interested in a wide variety of topics but haven’t had a good forum to address them all in one place before. My goal here is to write about topics that I find interesting that I wouldn’t otherwise publicly address as part of my regular job.
To provide a bit of background and context, I studied Computer Science at Princeton University and later attended Harvard Medical School where I earned an MD but did not pursue post-graduate training. Interspersed in all of this, I worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals developing software for computer-aided drug discovery before moving to OpenEye Scientific Software which provides software for computer-aided drug discovery to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Back in 2009, I moved out of software development to run the business side of the company. It’s been a fun change and an exciting experience.
I travel frequently for both work and pleasure and I expect that will be a source of many posts. I’ve also started running seriously again having recently finished my first half marathon back in October. I don’t know how much I’ll write about that, but you never know.
